GURU-GURU
As part of the LEXUS NEW TAKUMI PROJECT, we collaborated with Kenta Hirai from Yoshino to create an object made of Yoshino cedar at the Gaku-den of Heian Jingu.
Hirai’s technique, which allows him to freely bend thin sheets of Yoshino cedar, resulted in an organic, cocoon-like pavilion made entirely of wood.
After the exhibition ended, it was relocated to the Hiruzen Museum in Maniwa City, Okayama Prefecture, known for its wood-based town development.
