Kvetna Glassware – HAOTO
Haoto Collection
Our journey with the Czech glassworks Květná 1794 led to the creation of Haoto — a collection where Japanese sensibility meets centuries of European glassmaking tradition. The series includes six objects: wine and water glasses, a sake glass, a carafe, and vases.
Each piece is shaped by a simple cylindrical form, carrying a quiet detail at its base — the delicate imprint of a leaf’s veins. When touched by light, this hidden motif comes alive, turning glass into a vessel not only for use, but for reflection.
The name Haoto, meaning “the sound of leaves” in Japanese, expresses both the fragility of hand-blown glass and Kengo Kuma’s philosophy of harmony with nature. The result is timeless glassware — subtle, contemplative, and gently connecting daily life with the natural world.
